DOVID KATZ grewup steeped in Yiddish. He has published four collections of original Yiddishshort stories. After establishing and leading Yiddish studies at Oxford, andfollowing a stint at Yale, he settled in Vilnius, Lithuania. He has writtenprolifically on the history of Yiddish. He is an active opponent of the newEast European Holocaust revisionism and edits the web journal DefendingHistory. He divides the year between Vilnius, Lithuania and the mountains ofNorth Wales.
