Persianate Historical Sociology

Following his first volume of collected essays, Sociology of Shi?ite Islam (Brill: 2016), this second volume by Said Amir Arjomand contains a collection of selected papers on the historical sociology of the Persianate world. Its purpose is to introduce, define, and celebrate the rise of interdisciplinary Persianate Studies and to trace the development of this field in the last quarter-century.
