Coleoptera: Elmidae and Protelmidae contains a complete list of subfamilies, tribes, subtribes, genera, subgenera, species and subspecies, and their synonyms described before 2015. Detailed information about the geographical distribution of each species is provided. This catalogue includes extant taxa (147 genera and 1497 species of Elmidae, four genera and six species of Protelmidae) and fossil taxa (two genera and five species of Elmidae). It is the first world catalogue of Elmidae published since 1910. Unavailable names are listed as well. Detailed explanations are provided concerning the availability and correct spelling of taxa names, correct identity and spelling of author names, correct publication dates, and correct type localities.

Bostrichidae (Coleoptera)
Inbunden, Engelska, 2024
2 084 kr
Skickas inom 3-6 vardagar
The present World Catalogue of the family Bostrichidae (Coleoptera, Bostrichiformia) includes all taxa described up to 31 December 2023 and contains a complete list of subfamilies, tribes, genera, subgenera, species and subspecies, including synonyms. This book also contains detailed distributions for 98 genera and 599 species and subspecies for individual countries, broken down into zoogeographic regions. For selected "larger" countries (Russia, China, India, Australia, Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina), a finer division into subregions was used, which often followed the administrative divisions (states, districts, provinces) of these countries. The storage of the vast majority of the type material in public and private collections (if known) is indicated. All original descriptions of the taxa and several other publications dealing with the distribution of these species are listed in the bibliography.

The World Catalogue of the Conopidae offers the first complete list of this Diptera family worldwide since 1919. 808 recent and fossil species, together with their synonyms, belonging to 57 genera are listed. All original descriptions have been verified by the author. Type material and its depository is described for every species, the published distribution for each species is documented at the country level, and a complete list of references is provided for every record. Published information concerning hosts, possible hosts and egg carriers is compiled, with some 309 host species being reported for 73 species of Conopidae. With more than 1450 literature citations, this catalogue presents by far the most complete taxonomic assessment of this family produced to date.
