    Beskrivning

The third edition of Social Media and Crisis Communication offers a comprehensive look at crises in today’s complex mediated world.Bringing together leading scholars from around the globe, this volume explores how social media—from established networks to emerging technologies—shape communication during corporate crises, public health emergencies, political events, natural disasters, and more. The book introduces both established and emerging approaches to understanding crisis communication, while also examining pressing challenges such as disinformation, polarization, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence. Real-world case studies from different countries and sectors help readers see how these issues play out in practice and include a wider range of global and marginalized voice perspectives to highlight regions often underrepresented in research. This third edition emphasizes practical insights, offering guidance for professionals working in communication, public relations, media, and related fields.Written for students, researchers, and practitioners alike, this book provides a comprehensive and forward-looking guide to navigating crisis communication in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
