Dr. Gary Clayman, DMD, MD, FACS, is a globally renowned expert in head and neck cancer, particularly thyroid cancer. He spent 27 years at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he served as Distinguished Chair of Head and Neck Surgery and Chief of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery. Dr. Clayman has performed over 600 thyroid cancer surgeries annually for more than three decades, treating complex cases of recurrent and aggressive disease. He is Professor Emeritus at M.D. Anderson and founded the Clayman Thyroid Center in Tampa, Florida, now the highest-volume thyroid surgery center in the U.S. With more than 217 publications, 35 book chapters, and numerous awards, Dr. Clayman continues to advance the surgical management of thyroid cancer and educate clinicians worldwide through lectures and courses.
