Yasser M. Awaad, MD, MSc, FAAP, FAANBloomfield Hills, MI Dr. Yasser Awaad, a board certified pediatric neurologist, supported the Beaumont Healthcare System of Royal Oak, Michigan, in his capacity as an academic curriculum and program development consultant. Complementing his advisory role, he teaches up-and-coming specialists through Ain-Shams University and Al Azhar University, where he serves as a visiting professor in the Pediatrics and Neurology Departments. Dr. Yasser Awaad’s academic background also includes time as assistant professor of pediatric and neurology at Wayne State University.  Dr. Awaad served as the Chairman of pediatric neurology department at King Fahad Medical City, Neuroscience Institute. A provider active in the broader medical field, Dr. Awaad sits on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed outlets, including the Journal of Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Biochemistry. Moreover, he has authored andco-authored original studies that have appeared in such publications as the Journal of Pediatric Neurology, Journal of Movement Disorders, and the Journal of Taibah University Medical Sciences.
