French painter Claude Monet (1840-1926) was the founder of and leading artist in the Impressionist style. He had dedicated support from collectors throughout his career and influenced a wide range of artists, including Vincent van Gogh and Henri Matisse. In the second half of the twentieth century, his popularity grew immensely, with his work being featured on commercial items and attracting record-breaking crowds to museum exhibitions.During his time in Vétheuil, France, Monet painted dozens of gorgeous garden landscapes. His stunning 1881 painting, The Artist's Garden at Vétheuil, depicts a magnificent sunflower scene, with his son in the foreground and other members of his household on the steps.
