Daniel Holbrook Bolin is a scholar and practitioner specializing in military studies, sports diplomacy, and global security. He holds a PhD from the University of London (School of Advanced Study), a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University, a Master's in Emergency and Disaster Management from Trident University, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy. He currently teaches military studies, history, and character development at the United States Air Force Academy.Bolin previously served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Air Force, deploying internationally alongside partner nations in combat rescue and security-cooperation operations. He also competed at elite levels in football (soccer), including with the United States Under-17 National Team, NCAA Division I athletics at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the All-Air Force Team. His work is informed by both rigorous scholarly research and extensive firsthand experience in military and international sporting contexts.
