Sandra Machida is Professor Emerita in the Department of Psychology at State University, Chico (CSUC). Leesa V. Huang is a professor in the Department of Psychology and the coordinator of the Pupil Personnel Services-School Psychology Program at California State University, Chico, where she has taught both undergraduate and graduate students for nearly fifteen years. Terry Miller-Herringer earned her Ph.D. from University of California, Riverside, and has taught for more than 30 years in the Psychology Department at California State University, Chico. Marlene Zepeda is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Child and Family Studies at California State University, Los Angeles.

I really appreciate the authors' integrative approach to the study and understanding ofLatinx children and adolescents growing up in the U.S. In here, the authors reviewcentral developmental concepts (i.e., self-concept, peer relations, parenting practices)by centering the Latinx experience from a normative approach, which is a breath offresh air in the current developmental literature. The proposal moves between themicro and the macro context and factors that contribute to the multiple developmentaltrajectories that vary based on children's and adolescents' intersectional identities.
