Oxford Anthology of Indian Wildlife

This anthology consists of accounts of Indian wildlife from the days of the Raj to present times. It documents the change in attitudes to the animal world, with the focus shifting from conquest or slaughter towards conservation. It includes early and contemporary accounts of the wild which celebrate the joys of watching wildlife and detail the wealth of birds and beasts that make India so exceptional in terms of natural heritage.
