Hsiao-wen Cheng is associate professor of East Asian languages and civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of Divine, Demonic, and Disordered: Women without Men in Song Dynasty China (University of Washington Press, 2021). Yan Liu is associate professor of history at the State University of New York, Buffalo. He is the author of Healing with Poisons: Potent Medicines in Medieval China (University of Washington Press, 2021). Ng Wee-Siang Margaret is associate professor of history at the College of Wooster. This is Ng's first book.
