Mr. Schiffer also serves as a mediator for the mandatory commercial mediation program of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and for the New York Supreme Court Commercial Division, Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.Mr. Schiffer is a member of the ABA's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, where he is Chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Committee. Previously, he was Chair of the Excess, Reinsurance & Surplus Lines Committee and presently is Technology and Social Media Vice-Chair, a member of the TIPS Task Force on Disaster Preparedness and Response and edited the TIPS Disaster Blog, was a member of the TIPS Cybersecurity Task Force, and a three-time past Chair of the TIPS Technology Committee.
