Dr. Lucy Welsh is Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Sussex, where she also supervises the Criminal Justice Law Clinic. Lucy also practised criminal defence and prison law as a solicitor. She is the lead author of Welsh, L., Skinns, L., and Sanders, A. (2021) Sanders & Young's Criminal Justice (OUP) and her monograph, Access to Justice in Magistrates' Courts. Dr. Stavros Demetriou works as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Sussex. Stavros's research interests focus on the areas of criminal law theory, anti-social behaviour, civil preventive measures and hate crimes.
