Der vorliegende Band bietet die erste deutsche Ubersetzung der Teologia politica des Philosophen Merio Scattola (1962-2015) sowie eine Einfuhrung von Luise Schorn-Schutte. Scattola war Professor fur politische Philosophie an der Universitat Padua, Italien. Er entwickelt in seinem Text die Begriffsgeschichte der Politischen Theologie von der Antike bis ins 20. Jahrhundert. Dabei lost er sich von der Perspektive Carl Schmitts, die fur die Forschung bisher mageblich war. Seine Begriffsgeschichte eignet sich zur Einfuhrung in die Thematik der Politischen Theologie und ist daruber hinaus ein Handbuch fur das Verstandnis gegenwartiger Debatten in Europa. This volume presents the first German translation of "e;Teologia politica"e; by the philosopher Merio Scattola (1962 2015), along with an introduction by Luise Schorn-Schutte. Scattola was a professor of political philosophy at the University of Padua, Italy. In his text, he traces the conceptual history of political theology from antiquity through the 20th century. In doing so, he departs from the perspective of Carl Schmitt, which has been dominant in research to date. His conceptual history serves as an introduction to the subject of political theology and is also a handbook for understanding contemporary debates in Europe.
