Dr. Sachil KumarDr. Sachil Kumar is currently working as an associate professor at the Amity Institute of Forensic Sciences, Amity University, Noida, India. He teaches several courses on forensic sciences to Masters and Diploma students. He received his Ph.D. in forensic chemistry from King Georges Medical University, India, in 2015. From 2015 to 2016, he worked at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, India, as a guest lecturer. Since 2016, he has worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Forensic Sciences, College of Criminal Justice, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Sachil has authored numerous highly cited journal publications and conference articles on the aforementioned topics and has received several awards (International Travel Support Scheme) and grants (UGC-NET Lectureship in Forensic Sciences; UGC-Junior Research Fellowship (J.R.F.); and UGC-Senior Research Fellowship (S.R.F.) from various funding agencies, including the University Grants Commission, Government of India, UGC Ref. No.: 2003/ (NET-DEC. 2009), and Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.Dr. Shipra RohatgiDr. Shipra Rohatgi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Amity Institute of Forensic Sciences, Amity University, Noida, India. She is dedicated to shaping the minds of students at the Bachelors, Master, and PhD levels, imparting knowledge in various courses related to forensic sciences. She has earned her Ph.D. from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2021. Her doctoral research showcases her commitment to advancing the field of forensic sciences. Prior to her current role, Dr. Shipra contributed significantly to the academic community as a Full-time Faculty Member at Amity University, Gurugram, Haryana, India, from 2014 to 2018. During this period, she demonstrated her expertise and passion for teaching. Dr. Rohatgi has a prolific research portfolio with numerous highly cited journal publications and conference articles. She has also garnered her recognition, including a Gold medal at the Masters level and the prestigious DST INSPIRE FELLOW (qualified candidate) . Apart from her academic achievements, Dr. Rohatgi possesses hands-on experience in various advanced forensic techniques. She is proficient in the use of tools such as Docubox HD/Dragon, Projectina NIRVIS, Dynascope, and Advanced DNA fingerprinting techniques, showcasing her practical expertise in the field. In addition to her academic and research pursuits, Dr. Rohatgi is committed to continuous learning. She has completed several certification courses, including those from reputable institutions such as Cisco and Basis tech.Dr. Tulsidas R. BaggiDr. T. R. Baggi, retired as Director, Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Bureau of Police Research & Development, Govt. of India, Hyderabad and formerly Academic Coordinator for M.Sc. (Forensic Science) Programme at Osmania University from 2000 - 2014. In fact he is the person who was instrumental in starting M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry) at O.U. Women’s College and also the M.Sc. (Forensic Science) course in Osmania University. He is a Ph.D. in Applied Analytical Chemistry and Fellow of the Institution of Chemists (India). He has about 57 years of experience in the areas of Forensic Science, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Environmental Analysis and Fuel Analysis. He has about 90 research publications in reputed journals. He has been awarded the prestigious President of India Police Medal for meritorious services, H. K. Sen Memorial Medal for Forensic Chemistry and Thaker award for the best research paper, Professional Achievement Award and Man of the Year Award of American Biographical Institute, USA, Life Time Achievement Award of Forensic Science Forum, Indian Science Congress and Life Time Achievement Award in Forensic Toxicology of Indian Society of Toxicology. He is a Fellow of Royal Society for Chemistry. He is very much respected in the academic circles in the fields of Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Toxicology and Analytical Chemistry. His areas of interest are NDPS, Explosives, Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology. He has guided and continues to guide Ph.D. research work. He has handled several sensitive cases such as Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, 1993 Bombay serial bomb blasts and Chennai RSS building blast etc. During his regime CFSL Hyderabad was designated as Centre of Excellence for Forensic Chemical Sciences. He has widely traveled including U.S.A and Canada. He was a Consultant (R&D), A.P. Forensic Science Laboratory. He is on the guest faculty and Board of Examiners of several Universities, academic and training institutions including NPA. He is on the Advisory Panel of UPSC. He was the member of several important committees and boards of Government of India. He is a regular writer for the ‘Hindu’, ‘Times of India’ and ‘Tribune’ on Forensic and other technical issues. His profile indicates his association with CFSL, APFSL, OU, IDPL, IICT and State Archives. He has academic, technical and managerial capabilities. Though retired 26 years ago and now he is about 85 years, he is still academically and professionally active. He is a polyglot (English, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, German, Persian and Sanskrit) and interested in photography, archaeology, sociology, psychology, philosophy and fine arts.
