Metamorphosen - Musikalischer Wandel im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert

Um die Wende vom 19. zum 20. Jahrhundert kam es zu einer deutlich vernehmbaren Entzauberung der Musik. Zunehmend weniger standen Transzendenzerfahrungen durch die Kunste, sondern ihr engerer Bezug zur Realitat und Natur im Mittelpunkt. Die vielfaltigen und modifizierbaren Ursachen und Ausloser dieses musik- und kulturgeschichtlichen Wandels in Europa, Korea, Japan, Eritrea und Iran im 19. und bis ins spate 20. Jahrhundert nimmt der Band multiperspektivisch in den Blick. Zum Tragen kommen gesellschaftliche, individuelle, kulturelle wie politische Initialmomente, die es in ihrer Ausformung und ihrem Nachhall zu untersuchen gilt. Zur Einordnung der Starke der Druckwelle und des zeitlichen Verlaufs von Veranderungen werden die Vorgange als Metamorphose zur Diskussion gestellt. The turn of the 19th to 20th century was clearly characterised by a perceptible "e;disenchantment"e; of music. Experiences of transcendence through the arts became increasingly less important. At the same time, the close connection of music to reality and nature became the centre of focus. The present volume examines the various and modifiable causes and catalysts of this musical and cultural-historical transformation in Europe, Korea, Japan, Eritrea, and Iran from the 19th to the late 20th century from various perspectives. Initial social, individual, cultural, and political factors are vital in identifying their role and impact. In order to classify the force of the pressure wave and the temporal progression of changes, these processes are discussed as a "e;metamorphosis"e;.
