These are rules that are vaguely articulated or even left unsaid when preparing contemporary teachers. Teaching Is More Than Pedagogical Practice also helps teachers cope with a wide range of confusing and challenging situations. Among other things, the author recommends that educators: -have a good understanding of fundamental humanistic values;-have a special love and a tender affection for children with alternative behavior and alternative health;-know a child's genealogy;-beware of dishonesty toward children and adolescents;-avoid favoritism;-know children's learning styles;-avoid excessive experimenting with students;- treat each learner as his or her own child;-use means and techniques of folk pedagogy.
