    En stor delen av boken ägnas åt annat än vad bokens titel antyder, där presenteras stora delar av Epicurus världsbild och teorier kring materia, atomer och andra fenomen. Först på slutet behandlas
    Epicurus synsätt på lycka, ett gott liv o.s.v.
