I am very confused

All I can say is that this book was okay, I like the idea of a human coming to the fae world and trying to come out alive. That being said I am very confused. The writing was not that good and I felt like a lot of things in the book was from other books, for example the trial was very similar to ACOTAR and the kidnapping and falling in love with you enemy was very similar to from blood and ash. I also think the slow burn was to fast and I find the villain to be overly obsessed with the main character. I also did not love the ending because it made me very confused. I am also very confused about why the main character suddenly changed form this cute girl who hated other people calling her by nicknames and did not like cussing, to at the end suddenly be something completely different. The ending makes no sense and came out of nowhere. I hade hire hopes for this book.
