THE AUTHORRoslynne Toerien is a proudly South African mother, writer, speaker and philanthropist, residing in Durban, KZN. She holds a Bachelor of Education, specialising in the Foundation Phase and trained as a dancer,achieving her AIDT Solo Performers certificate.With her passion rooted in the arts and education, she now lives her purpose daily as the CEO and founder of the NGO, The LEARN Project, a South African Non-Profit Trust standing for ‘Let’s Educate A RainbowNation’ which aims to equip disadvantaged schools with libraries and book corners. Ros has been a guest speaker at a number of events and schools and was awarded the highest Paul Harris Fellows Award by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. She lives by the motto ‘Small actions lead to big change’ and this can be seen in the number of schools LEARN library doors that have been opened and minds that have been unlocked through the power of books and literacy.Roslynne’s other works include the beloved titles: Under the Baobab Tree; The Rumbling Rhino; The Forgotten Four; The Speedy Six Olympics; and The Nocturnal Nine.THE ILLUSTRATORRachel Nyman is an acclaimed artist whose vibrant and whimsical illustrations bring stories to life. Her work is characterised by its rich detail, dynamic compositions, and a playful use of colour that perfectly complements the narratives she illustrates.
