North-South Dialogue and the United Nations

The complex North-South dialogue between the 125 developing countries and the 24 industrialized countries of the 'West' centers largely around the contentious issue of the distribution of the world's resources and income. This paper presents an overview of the principal arenas in which the North-South debate has developed and become institutionalized.
