Politics of Preferences

The Politics of Preferences (1975) examines the development of European Community trade policy between 1963 and 1973 and its impact on developing countries. It also looks at the strategy and tactics pursued by developing countries during the same period in an attempt to get a better deal for their exports to the Community and other developed countries. It examines bargaining – and power and weakness – and the way in which the Community takes – or fails to take – decisions.
