    Beskrivning

Applied Sport Psychology presents sport psychological theories, strategies, and techniques used by coaches and sport psychologists to cultivate peak performance and personal growth. The text was written to focus on four primary dimensions: techniques for developing and refining psychological skills to enhance performance and personal growth; suggestions for establishing a learning and social environment that enhances the effectiveness of coaches; physical activity for youths and adults; and special issues such as staleness and burnout, the psychology of injury and injury rehabilitation, and retirement from athletics. Williams and Krane bridge the gap between research and practice by integrating examples, exercises, case studies, and anecdotes to help students to think more critically and apply their knowledge to real-world situations.
