Constitutional History of England, Volume 3 (Barnes & Noble Digital Library)

Historian Henry Hallam’s sweeping study of the constitutional history of England tells the story of the development of England’s constitution from its early days until the death of George II in 1760. The author examines developments that occurred under each reign as well as other events that affected the evolution of the constitution. Engrossing and exhaustive, these three volumes are excellent reading for anyone passionate about English history. The final volume opens with the state of the Constitution under Charles II, moving into the reign of James II and closes with a chapter on the Constitution of Ireland.
