I Dream of Flying Pancakes (And Other Dream Journal Stories)

Ever fought off dinosaurs with your bare hands? Flirted with a ghost? Or made a boat out of a giant pancake? The author of this offbeat collection has... in his dreams, anyway.I Dream of Flying Pancakes is a celebration of the surreal, the ridiculous, and the sometimes strangely profound world of dreams. Over the years, Nielsen kept a meticulous dream journal, capturing vivid and often hilariously absurd adventures each morning before they faded. This collection brings together 24 of his wildest entries: raw, unedited, and exactly as they happened. There's no polished narrative, no structured plots, and definitely no logic. What you get instead is pure dream energy: robot dragons, alien invasions, zombie armies, and scenes that feel like they were ripped from an indie sci-fi film made on sleeping pills. If you've ever kept a dream journal—or just enjoy quick, imaginative reads—you'll find something to smile, shudder, or scratch your head at in these pages.
