Goats

Goats were some of the first animals to be domesticated by people. They’ve provided milk, meat—and wool? Sheep are the first thought when one thinks of farm animals that produce wool, but goats have a soft undercoat that’s great for making fabric too. Readers are introduced to goats in a new way in this book, which covers the life cycle of goats, how they look, what they eat, and their soft wool! That main content is accompanied by full-color photographs to bring readers right into the wool harvesting process.
