Snail

All day a snail stays tucked up in its shell in a cool, damp hiding place. But when night-time comes, the hungry little minibeast emerges to forage for juicy plants to eat. Using stunning, detailed photographs and carefully levelled text, this book shows a 24 hour period in the life of this fascinating little animal. Why does a snail hide during the daytime? How does it slide from place to place? Does it really have a tongue covered with thousands of tiny teeth? And how will it stay safe from a hungry toad that’s on the hunt for snails?
