And refugees may no longer just be displaced by war, but can also be victims of far-right ideological intolerance or the continuing rampage of our climate catastrophe. Increasing international interconnectivity, the rise of global nomadism and growing xenophobia in politics make refugees an easy target in a world of uncertainty, chaos and contradiction.
