Children of the Goddess

Even conquerors must learn what it means to be hunted. When pride defies the divine, even a legend can fall. Alexander of Macedonia arrives in Egypt seeking the secret of its unconquered borders. What he discovers are warriors who fight beside living avatars of the goddess Sekhmet—sleek, deadly scimitar cats whose loyalty belongs only to their mistress. Intrigued by their power, Alexander dares to claim one for himself… and earns the wrath of a goddess. Hunted through the desert by Sekhmet's Children, the would-be conqueror must learn what it means to be prey—or be erased from history. A mythic tale of arrogance, faith, and the feral justice of the gods.
