Girls on the Field Hockey Team

Field hockey is mainly a sport played by girls and women in the United States. It can be played indoors by teams of six players or outdoors by teams of 11 players—and either way is a ton of fun! In this book, readers are introduced to the sport of field hockey, which is just called “hockey” in other places around the world. From the safety gear needed to international competition, the basics of field hockey are covered in an energetic, age-appropriate way. Full-color photographs take readers right into the match!
