Employee satisfaction. Influencing factors and effects on employees and companies

Especially within the field of work and organizational psychology, this concept has been examined very intensively. Until the year 2000, more than 11,000 articles were published on the topic of "e;job satisfaction"e;. This paper will now take a closer look at this multi-layered and complex construct. First, the definitions of employee satisfaction will be considered. Following this, a brief overview of the theories on the subject will be provided. This construct is influenced by various factors and has a corresponding impact on individuals and people. In addition, the effects that result from a corresponding lack of employee satisfaction will be examined in more detail.
