young ground squirrels

Welcome to the world of ground squirrels! In *The Ground Squirrel Children*, we follow Pauli and his sister Sissi through their first few weeks full of adventure. Together with Mom and the neighborhood kids, they discover berry bushes, play in the tall grass, test their strength, and always find time for a little fun. Even while eating fresh dandelions, there's still room for silliness-until, in the end, the burrow turns into a colorful dandelion land. Real photographs bring the baby animals up close, while the rhyming verses playfully accompany the scenes in a child-friendly way. A charming picture book that combines nature and imagination and delights young readers starting in preschool.
