Peggy Owen PatriotA Story For Girls (Edition1)

Peggy Owen patriot: A story for girls explores the conflict between personal belief and national allegiance during the American Revolutionary War. A young girl raised in a Quaker household, she must confront the tension between pacifist values and her growing support for the struggle for independence. The narrative portrays how war seeps into everyday life, changing relationships and reshaping convictions. As Peggy moves through a city scarred by occupation and unrest, she must decide where her loyalty lies. Questions of identity, family duty, and civic responsibility form the heart of her journey. Rather than focusing on battles, the book emphasizes the emotional and moral consequences of revolution, particularly for those traditionally excluded from political roles. Through the lens of one young life, it offers a reflection on how ideological divides can both fracture and clarify purpose. The story unfolds with a sense of immediacy, using daily encounters to trace the gradual transformation of someone discovering the strength to choose a path for herself in a divided world.
