Psychology of foolishness

Try to argue with a fool and you will find yourself lost in an endless maze. The fool knows everything better than you. Worse still, the more you try to fix a fool''s mistake, the more you reinforce his feeling of being different. He will be very happy if he considers himself a victim who is bothering you, because then he will be the champion of going against the herd. Through a series of conversations with psychologists, philosophers, sociologists, and writers, the book explores their views on foolishness, trying to answer questions such as: Why is trying to debate fools a trap? Why don''t the stupidest people think they''re stupid? Do emotions necessarily make us fools? What are cognitive biases and how do they lead us to foolishness? Is it possible to have a scientific classification of fools? Everyone has been complaining lately about the fools around them. This book tries to identify the characteristics of fools. Perhaps we should stop accusing others of them for a little while and begin the best thing we can do towards fools, which is not to increase their number, instead of getting involved with them in their favorite game.
