Velvet Divide: A Novella of Unexpected Love

LOVE ON THE LINE—EVERY NIGHT.Tonia dreams of a life beyond the velvet ropes of the strip club. Her nightly performances are both a prison and a platform—a way to provide for her children, yet a chain to a world she longs to escape. When Jeff enters the club, his unassuming presence strikes a chord within her, sparking a delicate dance of intimacy and understanding against a backdrop of societal judgement and internal turmoil.Bruce, a seasoned club regular with a penchant for manipulation, casts a long shadow over Tonia and Jeff's hopeful bond amid the pulsing lights and lurking shadows. Caught in a tug-of-war between fresh starts and old vendettas, they must navigate the chaos orchestrated by a puppet master intimately familiar with every corner of their world.THE VELVET DIVIDE explores the spaces between us—social, emotional, and physical—and how compassion bridges these divides. Kevin Klix crafts a gripping story about the extreme lengths we go to for survival and the heavy prices we pay for a piece of the dream.
