    Beskrivning

Acclaimed author-illustrator Fiona Woodcock delivers a child-friendly picture book about transition, transformation, and the things that change and the things that don’t. Yesterday and Today will appeal to those who love What Matters Most by Emma Dodd, My Heart by Corinna Luyken, and Aliki’s popular and bestselling picture books. Yesterday I was me. Today I am still me. As the days go by in a young girl’s life, what changes? What stays the same? She hated peas yesterday—but today, cooked in a different way, they taste pretty good. Yesterday she spotted an egg in the nest outside her house. Today, a baby bird is ready to fly away. Yesterday, the bud on that plant was just a bud. Today, a flower bloomed! Change is inevitable but one thing remains the same: our resilient main character is sweetly, undeniably, unapologetically herself. Fiona Woodcock’s child-friendly text and emotionally rich illustrations present the concepts of transformation, transitions, patterns, and change in a clear and engaging way. Yesterday and Today is an excellent social emotional choice for those navigating change and transition. It celebrates being true to oneself while always leaving room for new wonders and new friends.
