What a Fool Believes

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Michael McDonald’s career encompasses five Grammys, countless platinum hits, and chart successes.    Michael McDonald - Real love!

   Kan utan att överdriva säga att ingen annan musiker än Michael McDonald har varit viktigare för mig än just han. Därför blev jag också otroligt glad när jag såg att det nu finns en biografi om hans liv. Ännu gladare blev jag när jag såg att Paul Reiser lyckats med att få fram något verkligt autentiskt och äkta om Michaels liv. Det här är en djupt personlig och ärligt skriven bok om Michael som inte väjer för mycket. Hur djupt Michael var på väg att helt köra hela sitt liv i diket med sitt drogmissbruk visste jag till exempel inte. Men genom hans fru lyckades han till slut vända på hela sin situation till ett helt drogfritt liv. Tror inte det är en övertolkning när jag säger att vi förmodligen inte fått så mycket musik från honom som vi nu fått fram till idag om inte denna vändning kom någonstans där borta mellan 35-40-årsåldern. Vet inte hur många gånger jag haft Michaels röst och musik på högsta volym i mina lurar. Ja, sen tidigt 80-tal har han funnits där som en av mina ständiga musikaliska följeslagare. Och nu har jag alltså också fått en bild av människan bakom musiken som jag aldrig tidigare haft. Tycker att han delat med sig av något oerhört värdefullt för eftervärlden att ta del av. Tack Michael! Du gjorde rätt som valde att vara öppen!

   Fantastisk läsning om Michael McDonald

   Väldigt välskriven biografi som är mycket öppen och mänsklig. Väldigt intressant är det också att läsa om en helt fantastiskt karriär.

   Personlig bok

   Älskar Michael McDonalds musik, och hans bok är (nästan) lika bra som hans musik, personligt, oavbrutet engagerat och ödmjukt berättat.
