Arvaaq Press is a Nunavut-based educational publishing company with a mandate to provide educators and parents with educational resources that are infused with authentic Northern perspectives, ways of life, and imagery. Emma Pedersen is an illustrator from Toronto, ON, currently living in a creaky 1890s fixer-upper in Hamilton, ON. She graduated from OCADU with a degree in drawing and painting which was followed with a Bachelors of Illustration from Sheridan College. Emma loves illustrating small moments of quiet intensity, as well as big, exuberant expressions of joy and fun. She is in love with her dogs, collects books to leave in piles, and is a pretty good hand at installing baseboards.
