He is the author of seven books and booklets.THOMAS P. CHEN is Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at St. John's University, New York./e He specializes in economic development, international trade, economic forecasting, and technological changes. He has lectured in Taiwan and China and served as a consultant to various agencies.
