A rewritten and enlarged version of the author's thesis, this study is concerned with Iraq's people--their social characteristics, population structure, and potentialities for population growth; and Iraq's resources--their present state of development, the level of living they provide, their potentialities, and the plans for fulfilling these potentialities.
