Using both unpublished and newly released primary materials, they analyze and contextualize his poetry in relation to idealist philosophy, popular culture, anti-Semitism, feminism, and literary studies. JEWEL SPEARS BROOKER, Professor of Literature at Eckerd College in Florida has written or edited five books on modern literature, including Mastery and Escape: T.S. Eliot and the Dialectic of Modernism (1994) and Reading The Waste Land: Modernism and the Limits of Interpretation (1990). She has served two terms as President of the T.S. Eliot Society.
