He is a founding editor of the Review of African Political Economy and has published extensively in refereed journals and books. - COLIN THIRTLE is Professor of Agricultural Development Economics at the University of Reading and Extraordinary Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Pretoria, Republic of South Africa. He has researched and published extensively on the economics of agricultural development.
