The first part of this book, written from the viewpoint of the hydrogeologist, provides an introduction to the historical context, genesis, occurrence, hydrochemistry, exploitation and management of mineral and geothermal water resources. The second part contains case studies of specific geothermal or spa sites from, among others, the UK, the Czech Republic and Lithuania, written by hydrogeologists with specialist knowledge of these areas.
