Virtual prototyping is a major application of a virtual environment within the product development process. this book explores the concepts, tools, interaction, and simulation used with virtual prototypes and environments. The book contains the selected proceedings of two recent conferences: "Virtual Environments and their Applications", held in Coimbra, Portugal, in October 1994, and "Virtual Prototyping", held in Providence, USA, in September 1994. Both conferences were co-organized by the International Federation for Information Processing.
