Communications and Multimedia Security

This work presents a review of perspectives on communications and multimedia security. It contains the proceedings of the 3rd Joint Working Conference of IFIP, TC6 and TC11, arranged by the International Federation for Information Processing and held in Athens, Greece in September 1997. The papers included in this book seek to examine security requirements, issues and solutions pertinent to communication systems and to multimedia systems from the research and industrial and practical viewpoints. Some of the topics discussed herein include: communication systems security; multimedia systems security; network and distributed systems security; applied cryptography; formal models for information security in communication and multimedia systems; and standardization, certification and accreditation issues.
