Dr. Yang Yang is currently an Associate Professor of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Ningbo University in China. He was a postdoctoral research associate at Liverpool John Moores University (UK) from 2018 to 2020. With a PhD in Power Mechanics and Engineering, he leads the Offshore Wind Energy research group at Ningbo University, and has been PI of 17 projects funded by Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Province and industrial corporations over the past three years with a total budget of CNY 10 million. Dr. Yang serves on the editorial boards of several international journals including “Modern Subsea Engineering and Technology” and “Frontiers in Energy Research-Wind Energy” and has written one book in Chinese and co-authored 105 research articles. His research interests include development of fully coupled modelling methodology and numerical software for offshore wind turbines, multi-energy hybrid systems, and wind-aqua integrated farms, developing several numerical analysis tools. Prof. Musa Bashir is currently a Professor of Maritime Engineering in the School of Engineering at the University of Liverpool (UOL), in the United Kingdom. He holds a PhD in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University. Prior to joining the University of Liverpool, he was a Reader in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University, and before that he worked as research staff on a number of projects at Newcastle University. As the PI, Prof. Bashir has been granted more than 10 projects with a total budget over GBP 3 million. He has co-authored 2 book chapters and 40 research articles related. His research interests include design and installation of offshore structures and renewable energy systems, integrity management of offshore structures, and sustainable fuels for electric vessels, hydrodynamics of marine vehicles. Dr. Chun Li is a Professor of integrated design and optimization of large-scale onshore/offshore wind turbines at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), in China. He received his Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology and was a postdoctoral fellow in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at USST. He has extensive expertise in aerodynamic-structural-servo design of onshore/offshore wind turbines, flow dynamics and performance optimization design of turbomachinery and prognostic and health management of wind turbines. Prof. Li is the Head of the Fluid Machinery and Engineering Discipline, as well as a member or expert for a number of national committees and organizations, a senior reviewer, editorial board member, or managing editor of journals, and has published 4 monographs, 1 special journal issue, over 400 peer-reviewed articles, more than 30 authorized patents, and 8 software copyrights. He is engaged in various applied research projects co-funded by industry, various national and international funding agencies, and has successfully managed and participated as principal & co-investigator in more than 20 national and international research projects funded by NSFC. He has also received numerous education and teaching awards, including the National Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award (with special nomination prize), the Mechanical Industry Department's Young Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching and Education, the Shanghai Municipal Advanced Academic Affairs Administrator honor, the Shanghai “Shu Guang” Scholar, and the First Prize at the Shanghai Technology Invention Awards.
