    Beskrivning

Building Blocks of Neuroimmunometabolism: From Molecular Pathways to Therapeutic Strategies offers an authoritative exploration of the intricate relationship between the immune system and neurodegenerative diseases. This essential resource addresses the critical gap in understanding how immune responses and metabolic processes jointly influence the onset and progression of conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis. The book provides an examination of key molecular pathways and cellular interactions, emphasizing the role of immunometabolism in disease mechanisms. Beginning with an introduction to the concept of immunometabolism, it explores the connections between the immune and nervous systems, setting the stage for understanding neurodegenerative diseases.

In addition, the book discusses pivotal topics such as the role of microglia and macrophages in neuroinflammation, the metabolic regulation of T cells, and the impact of oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction. The gut-brain axis is examined for its influence on brain health, alongside innovative therapeutic strategies targeting immunometabolic pathways and lifestyle interventions.

    • Integrates immunology and metabolism, enhancing understanding of their combined role in neurodegenerative disease progression
    • Offers insights into targeting immunometabolic pathways for innovative therapeutic strategies in neurodegenerative disorders
    • Explores the gut-brain axis, highlighting its impact on brain health and neurodegeneration
    • Provides cutting-edge research on immune cell interactions and metabolic changes in neuroinflammation
    • Highlights emerging technologies for precision medicine applications in neurodegenerative disease treatment
