    Beskrivning

Metabolic Challenges in Cancer Treatment: Precision Oncology in Diabetes and Radiotherapy presents an interdisciplinary academic reference that examines the complex interplay between diabetes mellitus, metabolic dysregulation, and radiotherapy outcomes in cancer patients. The book positions metabolic health as a critical determinant of therapeutic efficacy, toxicity, and survival, offering a timely contribution to precision oncology. The volume integrates endocrinology, radiation oncology, metabolism, and clinical medicine to explore pathophysiological mechanisms, radiotherapy-induced metabolic alterations, glycemic control strategies, nutritional management, pharmacologic interactions, and personalized radiotherapy approaches. It combines mechanistic insights with clinical trial data, real-world case discussions, and emerging research directions. For its academic audience, the book provides a unified framework that bridges bench-to-bedside translation, supports evidence-based clinical decision-making, and advances interdisciplinary research. It serves as a comprehensive resource for improving patient-oriented outcomes and quality of life in cancer patients with metabolic comorbidities.

    • Integrates metabolic biology with radiotherapy science to inform precision oncology
    • Presents clinical strategies supported by translational research and case-based insights
    • Highlights emerging trends and future directions in interdisciplinary cancer treatment
