Camera Work

Photographer Alfred Stieglitz (1864-1946) was instrumental in the development of modern art in America during the early 20th century. In 1902 he established the Photo-Secession Group, a movement that elevated photography from a routine form of documentation to the realm of fine art. The following year, he founded the periodical Camera Work, a forum for the introduction of new aesthetic theories by artists, critics, and writers.

   Mycket intressant fotograf. Bokens format fick mig att tro att reproduktionerna skulle vara större. Men de var allt för små och uppslagen kändes plottriga.
