Tropical Beautiful

A new monograph showcasing the breathtaking houses created since 2019 by acclaimed Brazilian firm Jacobsen (formerly Jacobsen Arquitetura). Jacobsen, the leading Brazilian architecture firm created by Paulo and Bernardo Jacobsen, is known for its clean lines, union with nature and bright spaces. Following on from the success of their previous book Casa Tropical, this monograph features a wider selection of their beautiful houses, all created with Brazil's lush nature in mind. Each house includes a short project text by renowned architecture critic Philip Jodidio, as well as a selection of drawings and plans. The volume opens with an essay focusing on the global influence of the work of Jacobsen and ends with a brief section featuring renderings of houses still under construction in Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Fully illustrated with photography specially commissioned for this book, Tropical Beautiful sets each house in the context of diverse terrains and climates, making it a welcome resource for architects and designers.
